Each year at Christmas time, we share the joy of giving and spirit of the season by adopting disadvantaged families in the area to help make Christmas brighter for them. Items that are needed or special things that they request for their children and themselves are written on a paper ornament, then placed on a Christmas tree in our Parish Hall. Members of St. Matthew's then take one or more ornaments and purchase the item or items on that ornament to place under the tree and all presents are then collected and delivered to the families in time for Christmas.
